New Glasses in Germany

While waiting in Germany
For my reading glasses
To be ready,
I sketch a poster
The joy of glasses
But the joy i see
Comes  much later
As i read a book
Of European history
Which takes away
Some of the mystery.
Watching  a young German woman
Adjusting new glasses
For a boy whose mother
Wears traditional Muslem
head scarf
Hearing Hebrew spoken by
Israelis with young children
busy shopping
Both groups fled Muslem lands
So that their children could
Enjoy better days
In the new way of seeing
And being
In  Germany.

About seagullsea
