Mary had

“Mary had a little lamb”
      -A nursery rhyme
Mary had a little lamb
And then she had you too
Her gentle ways had been
much better than mine
With gentle words
A sweet caress
She could
She did
lead you to greener pastures
i  never did roam
since i realize i can’t
I won’t ever lead
You home.

I would be the wolf
your lamb would fear
would eat
her sweet innocent being
She would run away
from fate
but it would have been
too late.

So many thoughts
the little lamb
And all she saw was
never glad
Whenever i came
She ran away
from possible harm
towards a local loving

Into the arms
of a more gentle softer
the little lamb
would run joyfully
While i the wolf
Accused falsely
would be the weeper.
