wish

I wish i could tell
the difference between
a friend and a foe,
those to keep
and those to let go.
I wish i could better
decide
who is worth my time
and who is not worthy
of my heart felt thoughts.
I wish it was that easy
to know
who would not see me
as crazy
and appreciate my  words
and admit a lack of ability
to comprehend
rather than claim
insanity.
I wish i could believe
in a guardian angel
to watch not over my words
but where they go
and who will treat them
with respect
and who will
spit at them in spite
and hate.
I wish i could trust
fate
to direct the direction
of the words i speak
and to choose better
a place of a warmth
welcome
and elequant
tranquility
for the bubbles of words
to become a serene lake
and not mocked and blocked
as a mistake.
