“I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.”
What was that imam in Canada
thinking when he made a speech
where he legitimised
trees as targets for terrorism ,
only God knows,
but we who love those life giving
forces called trees ,
can not accept hate !
they have no one to defend them
only people can plant them,
and only god can grow them,
and only people
can destroy them.
we have seen cooperation
in trying to save the trees,
sending airplanes from other nations
and also cooperation between
Arabs and jews working to save the trees
that belong to everyone
that belong to no one.
“And only god can make a tree “,
but only mankind can destroy a tree.
one match , one moment of hate by a terrorist , can destroy years of growth, and a place for birds and animals, who are also victims of these fires!
let us hope and pray for an end to the war
on trees , birds, animals and human beings in the middle east
