It was 2016

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…”

Charles Dickens, “The tale of two cities”

Iwas what it was,

the times were not the worst

they were not the best

since we could always utter a complaint.

It was what it was,

now was what it is,

we did not seek despair ,

we only sought to please.

On a train moving foreward

the mind is writing

seeking words of courage

to encourage the coward.

seeking

ways to embolden the courageous

to discover  the courage

to cover the face of  the  frightening

night

with a soft blanket of shining

stars.
