I just watched this beautiful film.
I walked in late but came in the completely full movie hall just as the man from Berlin walked in the Jerusalem cafe on The big screen.
The characters are the widow of an Israeli man who had had an affair with a man in Berlin ,a baker who works in a small quaint coffee shop in Berlin.
The baker from Berlin is a quiet humble man who fell in love and follows his love to Jerusalem.
The brother in law of the Israeli man is a tough religious man who feels no compassion when he finds out the role the Berlin baker plays ,the lover of his dead brother.
The film is about lifting barriers and breaking rules and it shows the religious stuck in their rigid rules and in sharp contrast how some people follow their hearts.
A film that can teach about how brutual certain social conventions are and how tragic is the contrast between rigid rules and love .
